Owner/Editor: Sherri Gibbons
Although Sherri spent many years working for The Man, her dreams of writing were still at her fingertips. Literally. In 2002, Sherri launched a blog fixated on Pop Culture. With her snarky wit, charming humor [oh hey, she's humble too!], her blog rose to quick fame with Internet Geeks. After a while, the site fell to the wayside and then Perez Hilton came along. Sherri bashes her skull against a brick wall each time she calculates just how much money Perez Hilton makes writing about Pop Culture. After some time and more fruitless labor, Sherri returned to what she loved. Writing. About music. The freelance world made her want to jam rusty forks in her eyes, so she decided to take the world on: Revolt Music Magazine was born.

In her spare time, Sherri likes to laugh at injured people, fight for camera time with her Bulldogger and dream about Stone Phillips owning a baby kangaroo. She is petrified of birds, bats and pretty much all flying animals. Sherri is also currently writing a sitcom pilot and is one step closer to world domination.

Contributor: Evelyn Miska
It isn't easy having an alter ego. For Evelyn Miska that means balancing her duties as a Revolt writer with being a full-time high school English teacher. Many of her students aren't aware that their mild-mannered literature teacher spends many an evening reviewing the very albums that fill their iPods as well as braving the crowds at local live shows. While earning a B.A. and M.A. at the University of Michigan, Evelyn never thought she would find a way to combine her fanatical passion for music with her love for writing. However, after a stint in a Ph.D. program, she rediscovered her life-long interest. Luckily, she found Revolt and though the balance of life as a teacher and as a music writer can be a strange juxtaposition, the thrill of hearing a great new album, getting to do an interview with a cool new band or shooting photos from the pit at a show more than makes up for any weirdness that this dual life may cause.

Julene Paul was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. She has emerged from an abusive and tumultuous childhood with the inability to truly love anyone. Her favorite character from Cheers is Coach. She drives a 1982 Cadillac El Dorado with red leather interiors. Julene's hobbies include spending entire weekends playing Sudoku, ignoring those "FBI Anti-Piracy Warning" labels on CDs, and cuddling with her new cat, Ted Bundy.

Matt Wendus is a graduate of Wesleyan University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in History. After teaching in special education for a year, he has begun a freelance writing career in addition to tutoring students in World and United States History. He has a passion for writing editorials, reviews, and political commentary. A visual artist, he is also the author of a comic strip and numerous political cartoons. He has been writing and recording music for the past five years, and plays four instruments. Matt can't stand ignorance and uninformed decisions. He is a music snob and media asshole, and would sooner scoff than smile. Matt also enjoys beef jerky, a bottle of good scotch every once and a while, Sonic Youth, big dogs, soccer, Sega Genesis, and Ray Harryhausen movies. Contributor: Jason Gardner
Jason Gardner is a freelance writer from the great state of Michigan. He spends most of his time trying to figure out what he's going to do with the degree he just earned, and spends the rest of his time yelling at the television when the Pistons, Tigers or Red Wings are on. He is currently working on getting a blog off the ground. Up until the age of 15, Jason only listened to oldies so he is now listening to all of the great records he's missed over the years.

Contributor: Jessica Kenney
Jessica Kenney is (almost) a sophomore at Quinnipiac University, where she spends most of her time hanging around the school's radio station and writing for her college newspaper. Contemplating what she wants to do with her life scares her half to death, but she figures that wherever she ends up will most likely have something to do with music and/or writing. In her spare time she enjoys driving around while playing her music at an obnoxiously loud level, heading into New York City for no reason in particular, taking frequent trips to the zoo, and eating any type of ethnic food she can get her hands on. Additionally, she completely loses her mind in the presence of adorable animals.
